CIKAMPEK, June 4, 2026. PT Pupuk Kujang, in collaboration with Law Office RAP & Co, successfully hosted a socialization event on the New Criminal Code (KUHP) and Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) at the PT Pupuk Kujang Learning Center Building in Cikampek, Karawang. The event was attended by the Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, and management personnel of PT Pupuk Kujang to enhance legal literacy and mitigate corporate criminal risk within the framework of Good Corporate Governance (GCG).
Reforms in the national criminal justice system directly affect state-owned enterprise (SOE) governance, particularly regarding the boundaries of legal liability for corporate entities and company officers. Through this session, PT Pupuk Kujang and Law Office RAP & Co aimed to equip management with a comprehensive understanding of the new legal norms, restorative justice mechanisms, and Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) instruments to ensure corporate decision-making remains legally compliant and secure.
The event commenced with an opening ceremony, national anthems, a safety induction, and opening remarks delivered by the President Director of PT Pupuk Kujang (Mr. Budi Santoso Syarif), the President Commissioner (Ms. Idha Widi Arsanti), and a representative of the Managing Partner of Law Office RAP & Co. During the main sessions, Prof. Dr. Edward O.S. Hiariej, S.H., M.Hum. presented on corporate legal risk anticipation under the new Criminal Code, followed by Mr. Sarjono Turin, S.H., M.H., who discussed the procedural implications under the new Criminal Procedure Code. Both sessions were moderated by Mr. Erasmus Abraham Todo Napitupulu through interactive talkshows and Q&A sessions.
The event concluded with closing remarks by the Director of Risk Management of PT Pupuk Kujang, followed by the presentation of plaques and certificates, as well as a group photo session.
